Lopper Power

Loppers make a great tool that you would want to add to your garden list. Loppers can really get the job done and can cut thick branches in a matter of seconds.

I have worked with these tools on many garden projects and found them to be very handy. There were some garden projects that I took on with a pruner and hedge shears but was getting nowhere when

I switch to using a lopper it made my work easier. I remembered working on this 2-acre private estate where I was the foreman. This property had a beautiful guest house with

beautiful hanging bougainvilleas that needed to be kept nicely groomed, so with my hedge shears, loppers and a ladder I would make my way on to the roof where the work was to be carried out.

The shears took care of the smaller branches, but the lopper did a very nice job in removing some of the thicker branches and made working a breeze really giving those bougainvilleas a wonderful appearance.

In this review, we will be looking at the Tabor anvil lopper

Customer’s Views

Here are the views of some customers that have used and is using the Tabor Anvil lopper.

1.This thing is amazing. I’ve had a couple of other loppers that I got from a good hardware store and this tool far out-performs them – especially on live branches. I was skeptical about the 2″ cutting radius but it actually does it with little effort!!

2.This satisfied customer said about their experience, I have 7 fruit trees. Pruning time is not something I look forward to. My previous bypass pruners had difficulty going through larger branches and often did not make clean cuts. This lopper is an animal and cuts through very large branches relatively easy. It always makes clean cuts. I used it for all size branches, large and small, because it could handle everything and did a cleaner job. They seem to be very good quality. I worked them really hard and no signs of damage or wear so far.

3.Note what this customer said, After looking for a replacement for my old made in U.S.A. Snap cut loppers, which somehow found their way into my 35hp diesel wood chipper (not a good scenario), I decided to give these a try. These are awesome and every bit as good (maybe better!) than the reliable cutters I used for many years! Sturdy, precision made and they seem to be manufactured from quality materials. I am glad to find a truly professional quality replacement for my old loppers.

My Final verdict

This lopper has stood the test of time and proven to work effectively making those garden projects so much fun, so why not invest in a tool like this that have proven over and over again to get the job done.

The Tabor Anvil Lopper is for you, so order now and join the many happy gardeners and also get that satisfying experience of working with this tool.

Cutting tree branches really can be a struggle and can also cost extra money if you need to hire specialists to get the job done.

But the Tabor Tools GG12 Compound Action Anvil Lopper definitely looks like the best tool for those hard to cut tree branches that get in the way either in the garden or near the house.

There are a number of advantages to using this garden tool and I also LOVE free gifts when buying tools for the garden. 😉

This review has really helped me to make the decision tio purchase the lopper.

Great review! There is a bunch of heave bushes in my front yard that I have been meaning to get trimmed. Thought I was just going to have to pay a landscaping company a chunk of money to just come out and prune one time. But After your review I just may try it myself.

Do you recommend this product just for trees? Is there something else I should be using for thick shrubs?

This is a very good tool to use whenever you are cutting weeds. This will make sales in third world countries where they use big knives to cut down little branches. I noticed that it can’t cut beyond 2 inches. The product is manual. Any idea if there is one that is machine operated?

Hello, so good to see you again, this tool is used to prune trees and shrubs. The only machine operates ones that you can use to prune with are the gas powered and battery operated trimmer. Hope this help. Have a good day.

There are a lot of old trees and bushes in my garden as I moved into an old house with an old garden. The time has come to clean it up so I need some good lopper to cut the old branches. Tabor Anvil Lopper you have reviewed seems to be a great choice – the price is affordable and it has a lot of positive reviews on Amazon. I am Fiskars fan but I think I could give this lopper a try.

Thank you so much for the comprehensive review of Compound Action Anvil Lopper. I totally agree, you can not use shears in all your garden jobs. There are certain jobs that require just that….a lopper. This tool has a lot of pluses and the price is also right. Lopper is definitely on my “to get list”.

  6. Princila says:

    Hi Richards,

Thank you for this in-depth review. I’m thinking of getting this for my 66-year old dad. He loves gardening a lot so I think this might work fine. However, my main concern are the handles. My dad hates loppers with long hollow handles, saying they typically bend when he’s working with them. I’ve never used loppers, so I can’t confirm. But I’ll be happy if you can provide this information.

    1. Profile photo of Norman Norman says:

Hello, Princlia so nice to see you again. These loppers are top of the line and can really get the job done. The reason why the handles on different brands of loppers bend is when we seek to cut branches thicker than they can handle.

If we stay within the branch thickness they were meant to cut we should have not a problem with the handle bending, this lopper is good quality, Also some loppers may bend because of them not being of the highest quality.

Hope this helps thanks for commenting and please let me know how it goes. Have a good night.

This product looks like it would be a great fit to chop down these thick weeds growing on the side of my house. They are about a little over an inch in thickness. It seems like I could get them cut with just one clip! My old one has a rusted blade, so it is time to get a new one! Thanks for the review as now I know which one to get!

I have been looking for a heavy duty lopper and now that I’ve read your review, I am convinced this one is the one I want. Your review was thorough and understandable. I have some smaller loppers that are nice for cutting small limbs and tiny trees that come up in my yard on their own, but I need some bigger, tougher ones. It sounds like the Tabor lopper is the way to go. Thanks for your review!

    1. Profile photo of Norman Norman says:

Hello walker2, it is so good to meet you and thanks a million for your kind words. The Tabor lopper is really a great choice, this top of the line lopper will make your garden projects easier and will serve you well for years to come. I am glad that I could help and please let me know how it goes. Have a good day.

I really like your site, it is full of usefull information not only on tools but you also give information on how to be healthier.
One of the downsides at first glance on your site is it is a lot of reading but it is worth it.
You do have good visual on some of the pages, what I would like is to have access to some of the plants and vegtables that has all this goodness in them, you could see if you can add something along that line

    1. Profile photo of Norman Norman says:

Hello Laura, thanks a million for those kind words this website is still a work in progress but I will see what I can do, all the best to you and have a good night.

    Hi Norman! Another excellent post.

I was looking to replace all of my garden equipment. I already found some astonishing reviews of a mower and a chainsaw from you and I believe that this anvil lopper would be a great addition. Thanks for all of your reviews. I can’t wait to get my paycheck in order to acquire them!
