Product: Dewalt DCHT 820V Max Hedge Trimmer

Having a beautiful hedge can make a huge difference and can really cause your landscape and gardens to be a show stopper. I have seen many hedges over the years and though the homes were

beautiful the hedge took away from that beauty along with the garden area because of it not being manicured or keep nicely trimmed, in my opinion, it is a serious injustice to keep your hedge in such a way that it becomes an eyesore.

I have also had the pleasure of working on many hedges and the beauty that they brought to those homes and garden areas was truly awesome. Having a nicely groomed hedge can really compliment the landscape.

In this review, we will be looking at the Dewalt hedge trimmer and see what this equipment brings as far as performance and quality are concerned.

No string attached because this trimmer operates on a 5amp power battery it gives you all the freedom in the world to move according to your desire and I think this is really great.

I enjoy using coconut oil, and have recently been using MCT oil derived from it. It’s great to see that the health benefits and that the use of coconut oil is getting traction. I’ve read an article where coconut oil can replenish the nerve insulation layer in the brain as it’s properties are virtually the same, which is also a good preventative measure against Alzheimer’s. Not to mention the benefit’s to your digestive system. Have you any information or personal experience with MCT oil? If so, is there a brand you’d recommend? I’m still in the experimental stages with it and have tried a couple, but wouldn’t mind suggestions for sure.

    Hi Norman,
    Great review!
I have a big garden, and unfortunately, my gardener is not taking his job seriously. He comes whenever he feels like, and I am a bit fed up with his behavior. So my husband and I have decided to do the job. We’ve distributed the work to the members of the family, which is my son, my daughter, my husband and me:). However, we have a hedge trimmer, which my husband uses. But God, this is so heavy! So in order, the whole family can take care of the garden, we need a lighter hedge trimmer, and this one could be the one I need!
Just a question, please. I understood that this one work on battery. Is this hedge trimmer has an electrical wire?
    Thank you in advance!

    1. Norman says:

Hello, Daniel my good friend it is so good to see you, hope all is well with both you and your family. Sorry to hear that you gardener was not doing a good job but the good that comes out of this is, you and your family working in the garden can use this time as family time as well as getting in some exercise along with saving a few bucks.

I must tell you also that every time I see you, you remind me of my sister in law very wonderful person with a beautiful personality.

This hedge trimmer is pretty awesome and has a battery source, so you don’t have to worry about any cords holding you back or getting in the way, just charge the battery and you are good to go. I am glad that I can help, all the best to you and please let me know how it goes. Have a good day.

    Thanks for your review.
I have an electric cable hedger and was looking at getting a cordless one for easier mobility in the garden. My only concern is the length of time that I will get for use out of a cordless hedger. Do you know how long the battery generally lasts in this one and how long the battery takes to re-charge?

    1. Norman says:

Hello Chris so good to meet you and I understand your concern. The run time with this hedge trimmer depending on the amount of work you have can last you for about half a day – one day. The charging time can be anywhere from 45 minutes to and hour and ten minutes. Hope this helps, all the best to you and have a good day.

  7. Lulu says:

This hedge trimmer sounds like it would be a good choice for ladies since it is light weight. I have several bougainvillea bushes that have to be trimmed regularly and this sounds like it would be perfect. I haven’t used any battery operated tools but to not have to worry about the cord dragging or cutting it has to be a plus.
    Thank you, Lulu

    1. Norman says:

My comment maybe is not about the hedge trimmer because at the moment it is not needed for my garden works. The question is regarding battery powered garden tool and grass trimmers particularly. At the moment I trimming grass next to a fence with the electric trimmer but I am tired of cable. I hope you know what I mean. I am about to purchase petrol grass trimmer but when searching offers I found battery trimmers for about the same price. Help me to choose.

    1. Norman says:

Hello my friend, so good to see you. Now about trimmers, both have their advantages, for me, I like the gas-powered grass trimmers. I have worked with these for years and it is truly amazing. The grass powered trimmer like this one, just click on the link has many features that you will love.http://gardenofedengardencente

Wow, those hedge trimmers sure look like buzz saws. But I’m sure they get the job done just fine. I’d like to know a bit about the Dewalt DCHT 820V trimmer. Does it make a lot of noise like the lawnmower I currently have? And what kind of hedges do you think it works well on including branches?

Cause I do like the lightweight part of it and accuracy is a huge plus because I am considering trimming the bushes on my front porch. I’d prefer battery run gardening tools over gasoline powered as the smell is more tolerable.

    1. Norman says:

Hello, chuw5 so nice to meet you. This hedge trimmer is really top of the line and can get the job done. Not to worry it is not as loud as the lawnmower and works well on ficus, hibiscus, bougainvillea and so on. It is a good buy and can really get the job done. All the best to you my dare lady and please let me know how it goes. Have a wonderful day.
